So WHAT does it mean?

Nakita” is a Mandinka word for “attached”. Such a word, as simple as it is, describes exactly what I’d love to share in my handmade creations. As a person who rather hates labels, I would describe our family as a rather “attached” family… one that does reflect much of the ‘AP’ lifestyles folks out there may also lean towards.

As much as we love and rather encourage this relationship in our own family, I would hope that my ideas and inspirations create this (attachment) among the families I share them with. So it seems only fitting that we name this growing endeavor “Nakita Baby”.

Enjoy!
