This is a nonsectarian group for Illinois parents who homeschool their children with special needs. Parents will share methods, ideas, techniques, problems, and general support.


We are a group of diverse families who have chosen to homeschool their child(ren) with autism.


Homeschoolers with Special Needs
This group is all-inclusive and open to families with children from ages 5-19 with special needs.






Special Needs Homeschooling
This group is for those homeschooling their special needs child or seriously thinking about it.


Homeschooling the Special Needs Mom
This group is for moms with special needs (ADD, ADHD, chronic illness, etc.) who are attempting to homeschool their children.

The Special Moms group helps support, understand and educate members of the families with children of special needs such as Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Pervasive Developmental Disorder-Not Otherwise Specified (PDD/NOS), and Autism, ADD, speech and language delays.



MAAKOI is an informational support group only, run and organized by a homeschooling parents, and not to be received as professional counseling or legal services. Maakoi encourages all parents to make their own, best informed decisions for their personal families.
