May 24th I left westward-bound with the kids for a four week cross-country vacay. SBJ met up with us in the middle portion of the trip, and it ended up bring this epic journey none of us will ever forget (well…. hopefully 🙂 ). We went through IA, NE, then SD, WY, MT, ID, WA, OR, CA, NV, CO, UT, NE IA and back home again. We camped, we spent time at various hotels, many national and state parks, national monuments, and historic landmarks, and even had time with friends and family we have not seen in such a long time. To attempt to recap the whole trip in a blog entry would not even do it justice. I am going to attempt to load many of our photos here below. I am going to relish in the many precious family memories we’ve made and happy to share with those who ask. But words here would simply not do this experience justice.
I have had a difficult time being back. We’ve only been back a week now, and it feels like eeeeee-ons. I am ready to hit the road again and have started my persuasion of the big man to live like gypsies for a year. It’s amazing the resources that are out there to assist you with the enormous leap of faith, and I feel it could be an adventure of a lifetime to cherish with our kiddos before they embark on life adventures of their own. My hope is to have everyone on board with me over the course of this year, and that we grow to a place to be ready to embark by next summer. I’ll keep you posted as to how that all transpires! 😆
In the meantime…. enjoy our family photos!
