Adventure bound and back (pt.4)

Our week in CA was quite eventful. We thoroughly enjoyed seeing P and J’s home and seeing parts of where they live. We got to enjoy several of the sites including a couple parks, La Brea Tar Pits, Santa Monica beach, Kids Space Museum, Hollywood!, Disneyland and the zoo! And believe it or not, we did have a break in the middle of all that for M who spiked a fever. She had some killer molars breaking during this week (and 2 of them still trying to poke through) and that caused us to need to need to slow down a bit and regain some energy. (A side note on the teething…. a very wise friend led me to Hyland’s Teething Tablets and these literally saved our lives on this trip! We had been using Acetaminophen around the clock, which I felt was making matters worse, and once we got our hands on som Hyland’s M was feeling and acting 100% back to her usual. GREAT stuff and highly recommended to you mama’s with teethers out there.)

We stayed in LA till new year’s day before heading back out on the road towards home. It was a really fun week full of fun activities with some very special people in our lives. K and S really idolize my brother, more than he’ll even understand, and D has a very special connection with J. So they each got some very cool one-on-one time, and fun adventures each day and that’s something that will be cherished for a life time. (Thanks for wonderful visit P and J!)

One of most favorite moments is this last photo. S says as we are leaving Hollywood, “Mommy! Take my picture with this one.” Me: “But S, this is Ethel Merman. Do you know Ethel Merman?” S: “Mommy!! Ettle Mu-man is my FAVORITE!!!”  lol
